Default How to send a picture message..

Please Login to Remove!

i know this has probably been asked a million times but how do I send a picture message on my pearl?

I had the t809 slider phone up until yesterday and I could take a send pictures great... now I can't on the pearl.

Do i have to have internet access to do that? Can i not send it like a regular picture message like I used too?

Thanks in advance!

You do not need to use your browser if you are set up with email on you Pearl this is a simple process.
Once you have taken a photo simply highlight the envelope icon (far right) under the photo and select. You will then have the option of sending as an email or MMS.

Of course, if you don't have a BB Data Plan, you won't have email, and you won't have the option to send it via email... MMS will be about the only method.

is there any way to shrink the size of a pic when sending it as a MMS? some phones/carriers won't allow a MMS that is larger than 100K, and the Pearl doesn't resize the pic automatically when it's inserted into a MMS...i had to transfer it to my computer...shrink the picture on photoshop...then transfer it back to my Pearl before sending a particular pic to a friend....quite a hassle.

Don't you need a data plan to even use MMS...?

I can't speak for all carriers but I know with my carrier you need a BlackBerry data plan to send MMS.

So I assume there isn't a charge incurred for sending a photo via email if you already have data plan, right? Thanks
