Question Difference in OS TMO .64 & Cing .73

Please Login to Remove!

Hello to All:

I am new to this forum and very new to BB. Just got this 3 days ago. Currently I am with TMO w/o data plan. My BB OS is .64. I read many threads here about the latest OS versioning from other carrier. I was just wondering if there is any significant differences between .64 and Cing .73? What are the bug fixes if any?

My biggest issue I am trying to fix is the 'delay' in answering in coming call. I read many threads on that but it got quite confusing after awhile.

Since I just use the BB only for phone and SMS purpose for now - due to funding, I am happy with TMO .64 except for this issue. Sure could use your expert advice.

Was thinking that upgrade to Cing .73 would fix this bug but then I read that .73 will remove some of the tone that I really like such as 'ringer_roomservice'.

Thank you to each and everyone. I apologize for my ignorance.

Thanks for the advice. I read the thread regarding TIM - Italy. It seems to be a 'little' unstable according to the conversations there? Perhaps not. I wish some expert would take the time to do the in & outs of these versions.

I have tried the TIM release and did not like it. I use the TMO zen theme and it has changed on that release. There are a couple of other things that lead me to change to the Cingular .73 and have been using it since. I have not noticed a delay at all. It is easy enough to try one or the other and go back if needed. I say give it a shot.
