Angry Unlocked Pearl.. or so I thought...

Please Login to Remove!

So I got my unlock code via Cingular, and I input the code- I get a message that everything was successful and SIM Card Personalization menu has SIM, Network, Network Subset, Service Provider and Corporate all disabled.

I put in my buddy's Tmo sim card to test if it was unlocked- and I got an error message that there was no sim card inserted. What did I do wrong?

Did you insert the SIM card correctly? Can you make sure your SIM is working by putting it in another mobile phone?

I'm almost positive that I inserted the SIM correctly. My friend put it right back into his phone and it worked fine.

well must of been something from the way u inserted the sim because the bb did not find it.

if your phone was locked the message you would see is invalid sim card. try it again.

If it said Network=Disabled then the phone's unlocked. As posted above try it again making sure it's inserted correctly.

Tried it this morning. I could make calls, but it said "Data Connection unavailable." My friend does not have a data plan on his tmo account.
