When I go to answer phone calls, my pearl takes like 5 seconds before anyone can hear me. I can hear them but they can never hear me. After 5 seconds I am fine. This happens every phonecall and need some advice on what to do.

I think this problem was associated with mp3 ringtones. Try different ringtones and see what happens. I believe it was solved with software updates. The latest is 4.2.1.66. There is a sticky thread at the top of this forum with lots of info about the update.

I noticed a similar problem on my phone. Although, the time it takes for the call to connect isn't really 5 seconds. But it's a delay that I noticed recently...

Yup, mine does the same thing with MP3 ringtones, however wav sounds dont seem to have the same problem, so I use those instead now. I really dont want to upgrade until there is an official T-Mo release of newer software.
