Unhappy How can I reconfigure message service?

Please Login to Remove!

Yesterday I was sending emails just fine. Not sure what I did, but today I can't send emails or reply to emails I receive. A dialogue box comes up saying "No message service configured". When I look in 'Message Services' under 'Advanced Options',.. theres nothing! My old 7100 BB has "messaging (CMIME): Blackberry" in there so thinking this has somehow been deleted from my new 8100 ?

How do I get it re-configured? Not much point having a BB if I can't send emails from it.

It's on an enterprise server but our IT team don't know how to fix it. It won't let me do an 'enterprise activation' either just saying "an error occurred. Please contact your system administrator: (yes the one who doesn't know how to fix it).

Help?????

Resend service books and that should fix it. Well your IT admin can send you the service books or ask them to send you activation password, then you type-in your e-mail address and the password they provide (by default the password is good for 48 hrs unless IT Admin wants a lower number). Your IT admin shuld know this already - that's why they are admins

Thanks JS, saw that advice of yours on one of the other threads so tried it but no change. Will have to hope our IT dept can work it out as per advice from 'lagreat'. Have tried enterprise activation with a valid password which didn't work, but may do after they re-send the service books for blackbery email. Fingers crossed it works, otherwise I've got a very expensive mobile phone. cheers, kjs

Default Wiping the device

I had the same issue. I had an issue where I lost wireless sync capabilities on a BES account. Seemed to be due to adding multiple BIS mail accounts, but I couldn't pin it down.

Anyway, I need to wipe the device prior to an activiation to get the service book back for messaging. It was a fairly new device so I didn't really lose that much of anything.
