Default Help needed: NO Email-Notification

Please Login to Remove!

I just received a new Pearl.

Everything works fine except the notification for Emails.
I did receive the Emails but get NO notification (No tone nor LED-blinking)

I tried different settings in the profile, but nothing.

All other services (phone calls, sms etc) are working fine ( Ringtone is playing, LED is blinking).

Do I have to replace the device or is there a hidden configuration I have overseen?

Any help is appreciated

Thank you in advance

spielbank, look again at your profiles, the active one, and MAKE SURE you don't have VOLUME = MUTE in either IN HOLSTER or OUT of HOLSTER.

Likewise, make you edited the "Messages" section, not "MessenGER-New Message", which is for BB Messenger, not emails.

Should work... always try pulling the battery and rebooting the BB as well... can't hurt if there is gltich somewhere...

Thanks for your fast reply:

Unfortunately all mentioned settings are still set.

I did use the correct section
Notifications are set to Tone and there is no Mute neither in or out holster
Still tried various Reboots

More suggestions??

Hmm, for the LED... Options > Screen/Keyboard, scroll down, is LED COVERAGE INDICATOR set to ON? Still not a fix for the audible sounds.

In your profiles... (sorry if repetitive) do you both IN and OUT set to TONE? Not NONE or VIBRATE?

Will it vibrate at all on email receipt? What is the name of the ringtone you have set? Have you tried a different ringtone?

"LED COVERAGE INDICATOR" is set to OFF (otherwise device is blinking green all the time)

I still have tried different tones (simple standard-Blackberry-tones, working fine with at phone or sms notification), volume-settings and vibration.

Nothing

Did you buy this brand new from the Tmobile store? I would return it and have them look at it. Your phone is under warranty and if you tried different methods like mentioned above and still doesn't work then best solution is to replace it with a new one otherwise I dont know what to tell yah...

At the risk of being repetitive...profiles-advanced-(active)-Messages-Out of Holster: what is selected here as well as In Holster?

What does that mean? It should say either:
None
Tone
Vibrate
Vibrate+Tone
in the first field.

Sorry,

Current settings are set to Tone (tried all settings before)
Meody: Notifiere_Ny (tried others before)
Volume: high (tried all other settings before)
Notification-repeat: LED
vibrations: 2

I 've tried everything within these settings. They all work fine for phone or SMS except EMail. Is it possible, that there is a bug in the device or are there hidden general settings for EMAil-notification??

I don't know about a bug, could be, but those are the exact way to set your email notifications, no other hidden settings.

Sorry we could not help.

One last idea - how many mailboxes do you have set up and did you make the settings for each individual mailbox? Also remember that if you are tethered and in mass storage mode your pearl cannot see your sd card - I dont know if that could be part of the issue or not. Good Luck!
