Default 8100 OS Help

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,

I know this is a repetitive problem/question and sorry to bother. (and yes I did use the search button ). My BB8100 had that hourglass problem and so after extensive searching online i came across this forum where I read up and downloaded the JL_CMDER program which allowed me to wipe my BB.

Proceeding on it now gives me a 507 error and I know I have to use the 'Desktop Manager' to run the Application Loader and reload the OS for the 8100.

The problem is WHERE DO I GET THE OS FROM? lolz I tried going to ftp://ftp.coreymckinney.com/ and downloaded 8100_Pearl_4.2.0.71.exe but it just installs the Desktop Manager again for me. Can anyone give me more detailed instructions on how and where to get the 8100 OS into the App Loader.

Thanks In Advanced

How to Perform a Clean Uninstall/Reinstall of BlackBerry Desktop Software

If you have download your OS, click to open the *.exe file. Let it install to your PC. Then open Desktop Manager. Should be automatic from there.

EDIT---sorry here is a good OS download list. The link above refers to Desktop Manager installation
