Default Copying Pearl to Pearl`

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all,

I had to replace my pearl due to a cracked screen. Could anyone tell me if it's possible to copy all of my settings (ringer profiles, call settings, etc) as well as data (contacts, pictures, etc) from the old pearl to the new? I can see a good deal of the screen on the old one, so I can probably navigate all the menus.

Thanks!

Use the desktop manager and click on the backup and restore Icon, it takes about 20 min, depending on how much data you have.

I had looked at the device manager, and of course didn't RTFM close enough. I thought it said wouldn't copy data, when it meant won't copy data from your memory card.

Blackberry desktop manager 4.2 has a switch device feature that may work better for you.

Definitely do what nsquark has suggested. The switch device wizard does much more than just move data.
