Default Blackberry Pearl Housing: Chrome..Circlething.

Please Login to Remove!

Hey BBF,
I recently ran into an incident where the chrome housing ring that holds the components of the trackball together BROKE. The little "teeth" or "tabs", whatever youd like to call it, 2 of them broke and when I use my pearl trackball the little chromey piece wiggles about and preety much is broken and falling out. I was wondering if ANYONE with a blackberry peral that was broken, or someone who knows where to get the chrome piece would let me buy it off them? Thanks, or else I will have to go to tmobile and steal the chrome piece off of the demo model. Agent bond, signing off..

Stealing is not saying much about you... you broke it you should pay to fix it why drive up the cost for others

Does anyone know where to get one because I have the same problem. And I broke it after reading that "How to clean your trackball" thread.

"Just use your finger and pry the piece off" whatever don't do it!

He said he'd be stealing the chrome piece off the demo phones... not the actual phone...

Theft is theft period! You drive up the cost to all of us... Today it's chrome ends, tomorrow it's copper wire to pay for the methamphetamine habit....

IMHO.... Anyone bragging on this forum about stealing should just go away and not be welcome back.... Maybe the mods can make this happen....

Yeah I did do it gently and very carefully. But when it came off there were 3 pieces/teeth on the round chrome piece instead of 4.

I put it back and its sitting fine right now (just a bit off centre) and has stayed in there for 3 days now. The only thing I'm concerned about is when I scroll down (which is the majority of the time, you can feel a bit of a groove/raised on the chrome piece... but that's only if i tell you, most pearl users wouldn't of known).

I'm just worried that the chrome piece will fall out then the pearl ball falling out. Therefore I have no phone and a paper weight on my hands.
