For the past 4 days and counting, I haven't been able to view my text messages, and e-mails. My phone still notifies me when I get a text message, but when I go to view them, it doesn't show. The icon on the top continues to show the number of messages not viewed too. Also, the date on my messages say June, 29, and not April. I already went into my options to change it, but it wont work.

2 Questions.....
1). If I reinstall the software, will I keep all my apps.
2). If not, can I save them on my computer, and reinstall them later?

P.S......I'm mad as hell

Not all apps will come back. Depends on how you do it. If you wipe it your OTA ones won't come back. Have you tried deleting your sms and emails in Adanced Back up/restore from DM? If you upgrade your OS you can migrate all your apps. PS I mad too cause my iPod shuffle won't synch to my 8800.

Yeah, my cracked out BB, is ***ked up. One minute my ColorPearl software is working, the next minute, its back to its normal white color. It wont stay blue.

I'm running 4.2.0.71. I guess its time for an uprade (Dont you think? )

What 3rd party software do you have installed?

If you receive a message on a particular date the message will always have that date even if you change the date on the handheld. However, subsequent messages will have the right date.

I'm not convinced you need to reload the OS. Do you have Dollars5's mediaPlayer installed? That app can change the colorPearl app setting back to white. There may be other apps that do it too.

There is a way to back up *most* 3rd party apps. I posted it yesterday somewhere. Here it is:

I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but if I back up apps using the "switch devices" trick (backs up apps to TEMP file, go save TEMP file, change to .alx and reinstall) will that work for OTA apps too?

Yes, but if they don't back up data properly (like BB Weather) you may lose the data for that application.

The only apps I have installed is Ascendo Money, Opera, Ramble IM & ColorPearl.
