Hi there,

So I got 8100 unlocked (i hope) it does say on the phone that it is from T-Mobile. However when I put my SIM card from Celcom Israel it shows invalid Sim Card.
How do I make sure this phone is really unlocked? My other phonce (not BB) will recognize the card.

Go into Options / Advanced / SIM Card
Type MEPPD

The screen should show a list of items which should all read "Disabled". It Network is "Active" then it is locked. They all have to read "disabled".

Network Active means that the phone is locked.

No I am from Los Angeles, but I go to Israel on business three moths out of the year. I sure know the place you talking about.

Contact the seller and tell him / her it is locked and demand a refund.....

We were in a peanut field somewhere in Holon... But it was only a few min drive to Tel-Aviv.... We also had a company in Haifa....

I did, this seller is a nightmare to deal with. But I will get my money back

If so, dispute the charges if it was advertised as unlocked...

At least it works. Some don't.

You can always have it unlocked cheaply....
