Default The Weirdest Thing Happened..

Okay so I have been wanting to upgrade from my 8700g for quite some time now. So i went in to t-mobile and i had my eye on the pearl. so i decided to get it. they swapped my sim and i payed and i went to best buy to get a sd card for the pearl.

so i get the 2gb for 34.99 (not bad). went home and put the sd card in... the problem was when i put the sd card in AND put in the battery, the phone kept on resetting itself before it even powered on. at first i thought it was the sd card because when i took out the sd card and put the battery in it worked fine. so i went back to best buy and traded it for a new one, tried putting it in when i hopped back in the car, same thing happened. i immediately knew it was a hardware problem so i took the phone back to t-mobile. they traded out the pearl for a new one and it worked perfectly.

i have never seen this in the 25+ phones that i have owned over 7 years...

i just thought that i would share it with you guys

There's always a bad apple in every bunch, just looks like it was your turn to get it. Glad you have it working now.

Honestly, I think you had a pearl that had the very first OS loaded on it. (.42 I think) When the pearls were first released they only supported 1GB cards. Then after the .64 update they supported 2GB cards. I'm willing to bet you originally got an old pearl with the orginal OS on it (one thats been sitting on a shelf for the last 6 months) and the second time you got a newer one.

Do you remember if the first pearl had the my faves logo on the back of the phone? I've had two TMO pearls so far. The first one didn't have the my faves logo and came with the original OS, the second one had the .64 pre loaded on it and the logo on the back.

I think he may be correct on the assumption that it could be the old version of the OS, sounds probable... as for the logo... my T-Mo Pearl came with .64 and I have no logo on the back...
