hello guys, im new here.

I just got my unlocked BlackBerry 8100 from tmobile yesterday. I am using Cingular service on it. I liked the phone so much, i ran out and bought a 2gb memory card... but when i put the memory card in, the phone wont start up. The screen flashes white and just sits there. If i take the card out, it will start up fine... any idea whats wrong? i'd hate to return this phone..

try replacing the sd card take your phone with your try a diff card and or a diff brand of card

thats weird.. when i put a 32mb card in, the phone turns on but does not read the card.. but when i put hte 2gb in it wont even turn on.

32 meg card may have to be formated for the phone to read it ... i still would take the phone exchange the 2g card try it out there could just be a bad card it happens good luck ... btw welcome to the forums

Umm, the problem probably was like other that you had an old version of the OS and one of the many first, because when the Pearl came out the maximum amount of storage they had was 1GB, but they release a new OS so that it would be able to read 2GB's
