Default Phone keeps cutting me off during calls

Please Login to Remove!

Hi guys,

Bought the handset last week and I must say its a great piece of kit. I bought a case for it and its clever because it knows when I close the flap to end the call (like a flip phone) but sometimes when i'm on a call it cuts me off if i have my head in a certain position.

Any ideas how to turn this feature off?

Benjam, is your ear or something pushing the red End Call key?

I do not think that ending a call in mid call is a feature that can be turned on or off.

No I think its got something to do with the pearl button. When I close the flap on my leather cover it automatically ends the call. Not touching the red end call button.

The cover is just a simple leather pouch with a flap. There must be a sensor somewhere??

OK, thanks. I bet your place it in the leather pouch facing outwards (away from the belt)? Try inserting it facing INWARDS, towards your belt clip.

Try this...Press the Green send button > Menu > Options > General Options > Auto End Calls...If this is set to "Into Holster" which is the default setting I believe, every time you close your cover it will automatically end your call. Switch it to "Never" and see if that works. Just a thought, could fix your problem.

Thanks, zoukis05, that certainly could be the problem.

I just re-read the post again, and Benjam, yes, the holster "should" have a magnet sensor in the leather, which tell the BB to go to sleep. If your holster is OEM, it very certainly has that magnet. It is there to save battery life and help configure different settings for your BB. If you bought the holster from a third-party, test the magnet my seeing if a paper clip will adhere to the holster anywhere... if so--yes to the magnet sensor.
