Default Broken Latch

I know that RIM and other vendors sell replacement battery doors for the Pearl, but what about that tiny metal latch and spring that locks the doors? It was built pretty flimsily, and mine popped out and got lost during a battery change. Does anyone know how to get a replacement for those? Thanks!

Nope, you gotta buy the whole door I'm afraid. I have one for sale (Tmob shiny black) along with the battery if you're interested.

The battery door does not include the tiny silver latch.

That's been a problem with the Pearl since the beginning. If it's still under warranty then I would suggest that route.

Absolutely that's happened to me three times, Call customer service they replace it as long as that's the only issue. It's quite a pain that that's the only thing that has been wrong with any pearl I've had, thank god it's easily replaced.

I didn't even know that was a latch for the first month of having my phone. When I'd take the battery out, I'd just force it open. I just figured it was a tight fit. I stumbled across the button deal one day and felt like an idiot.
