That's been a problem with the Pearl since the beginning. If it's still under warranty then I would suggest that route.
Absolutely that's happened to me three times, Call customer service they replace it as long as that's the only issue. It's quite a pain that that's the only thing that has been wrong with any pearl I've had, thank god it's easily replaced.
