I'm just curious about the way folks in this forum multi-task their Pearl usage.

For example, on my commute to work, I'll usually play some tunes while I check out my e-mail or browse the news w/piconews.

At my new apt, since I'm still waiting to get the owners written permission to replace the ancient cable with something that'll allow me to have a strong enough signal to have High speed internet, I've tethered my BB to give me tolerable internet access.
Out of necessity, (as my BB is my primary/only phone,) I've discovered that I seem to be able to place phone calls while tethered without any noticeable complaints from my PC, but I'm not able to receive said voice calls, strangely enough. (I'm using T-mo US, if it matters.)

So, how does the rest of the world juggle multiple tasks on their 8100?

I must say I have been surprised with its ability to multi-task. At one point in time, I was transferring songs from my computer to the pearl while also browsing the internet on the pearl. Then, I received a phone call! the Pearl promptly alerted me, I answered and to my surprise the file transfer wasn't compromised! Sooo, for a few minutes, the pearl was charging, transferring files, and also being used as a phone! I was pretty impressed!
