Default Transfer files from Mac to Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

How to transfer files from Mac (G4, Panther) to Pearl.

Tried it via Bluetooth and get:

"Device does not have the necessary services"

If I try to send the sample m4a from the handset it searches and searches.

Have no idea how to use the cable.

I have PocketMac but that's just to sunc adds etc, right, not mp3s, text files?

Thanks

Matt

- go into MEDIA
- go to the folder where u want the file to be sent to
- when ur in that folder, click on the options buttom and make sure the pearl is set to "recieve from bluetooth"
- and then send your file from your mac.

good luck!

I don't get the Mass Storage choice (and I might have received it last week when I set it up but can't recall). Is there a way to get this to happen by a roll and click of the Pearl?

Default Fixed

I went to Options, Turned off Mass Storage, changed to Prompt, then it worked!

The Folder mounts on the computer.

Now to have fun trying to get movies to work. The .avi I sent over wouldn't play on the BB - I get an error. Maybe it's the size of the movie. I had 160 wide. I also put in a 1 x Gb SD card today for more space than the strandard one.

The journey continues.

BTW Can get jpgs to go from my Pearl to my Nokia via Bluetooth, but the other way I get a

Device does not have the necessary services

message

Any thoughts?

Thanks
