Default why does the ROGERS white PEARL have a TMOBILE unit on the box? - 05-02-2007, 07:30 PM

IN case no one else has noticed................

When the 8100/Pearl white was launched, i noticed that the guy in the background was holding a unit that visibly reads TMOBILE.

i thought it was just an error, or a misprint on a few boxes, and checked about 10 units in my inventory to learn that ALLL the boxes had this flaw.

after months of not having time to post this, i decided to look at some boxes this week and noticed the TMO logo is STILLLLL on the rogers boxes.

so since RIM and/or Rogers havent noticed or cared to fix this, i decided to put them in the spotlight

I think its because T-Mo got the Pearl first. Just my .02.

That is hilarious. With the high data rates they charge they should at least have enough money to shoot photos for there own add/packaging. Instead the copied one from T-Mobile. How rediculous. This probably got signed off on by 20+ people, that is the worst thing. Idiots.

I doubt rogers made the packaging. More likely it was made by RIM who used a stock photo

I think that's a Rogers - produced box. I got one of the first Pearl's in Canada the day before Rogers launched the phone. It came in a totally different box that was all Blackberry branded with no mention of Rogers. It was nothing like the box above.

My wife just got a white pearl and got it in that box though. Never noticed the T Mobile pic though - it's pretty funny. But with Rogers, not in any way surprising.

yea i hope they didnt make the same mistake with the new RED edition, and have it say AT&T on it

secondly, you probably got the launch units at the launch event, which werent Rogers retail packaged units.

How funny! You would think Marketing would do their own picture instead of Cut and Paste!

Even if they didn't do their own picture. It would have taken all of 1 minute to photoshop out the T-Mobile Logo.

I can't believe you posted this here on this forum as well.

Why don't you go and ask the designers that designed this package? Its obviously bugging out a whole lot.
