Default Saving Number when on a call

Is there anyway to do this i.e. type a number in whilst on a call & save it to memory. (apart from going into address book & creating a new contact)???

That is the way to do it... in the address book. Where else would you want/need to save a phone number on the phone?

But, I guess you could certainly go to Memos, Tasks or Calendar and do the same. That would work.

One of my older phones you could type the number & it would stay on the screen after the call was hung up so that you could just press green to make the call.

Much simpler

eh, antiquated equipment.

Get QuickNote. Search the Aftermarket Software forum here for it, free download. You type notes or # in, it won't save, but it commits whatever you type the pasteboard which you can then immediately insert by PASTE to another application.

You can use the 'Notes' feature while on a call to type in anything you want - phone number, address, drink order. The note then gets saved to the Call Log. You can also forward the call log to yourself as a email (I tend to save emails more than I save call logs, so emailing it to myself makes it less likely that I'll delete the information).

Good suggestion, juwaack, I use the notes, and forgot all about it.

It is saved with the number, in the call log. Phone, highlight a call, menu, view history, menu, add notes.

No prob, you're welcome. If you are on a CURRENT call, it is much easier, your just click menu and add notes, automatically attached to THAT phone call history.
