Default Internet on my laptop with cingular

Please Login to Remove!

I tried searching but could not find anything. Is there any way to use my pearl to get internet access on my laptop without having to get the "teathered" package from cingular. I know that there is a write-up on how to do this with t-mobile. Please let me know if there is anyway to do this. I can't afford the $80 / month package from cingular.

I don't think Cingy can really tell wether you are on the tethered program or not - especially of you have an unlimited data plan. I'm not on the Cingy network - hopefully someone else can pipe in on this.

You might want to search the forums. I'm pretty sure someone on Cingular got charged a lot of $$ for tethering without the plan. I believe both Cingular and T-Mo can tell when you tether- T-Mo just doesn't charge extra.

Oh yes they can, go to the last pages of the unlimited internet on your BB as modem by SanFrancisco thread and Cingular does care... are for T-mobile... so far they're chill about it.
