Default Backups - specific to PIN?

Please Login to Remove!

I understand the function of the handset PIN. I also see it on my DM when I perform a function using the program.

I am getting ready to send my berry in for a manufacturing defect, and have taken steps to backup my handset.

When I receive the replacement handset, it will of course have a different PIN assigned to it. Will DM allow me to restore my backup on a handset with a different PIN?

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

Yes, I did just the same recently, although I went out and bought a new one rather than exchange.

Welcome... and if I were you I would do an additional last sync with MS Outlook or AT LEAST to an ASCII file, via your Desktop Manager, just as a safety. The restore is the best option, but a failsafe secondary source is always smart.
