Hi im Isabel i just signed up.... i use to have a 7100i from nextel and i just switch to the bb pearl from cingular..... i was wondering if anyone knew if there's a way to have an specific icon on the pearl for just sms, because the one i have now it stores all my messages and sms and mms, on the 7100i i downloaded the zen theme and i had the option for that folder but this bb already had zen on the themes but i cant find the option for only sms and mms..... thankssss guys

Welcome to the BBForums, Isabel. You are correct that the Zen theme is the one that separates messages and SMS. Have looked to see if it is hidden?

i already look on the hidden icons but its not there and believe me its driving me crazy having to check the sms through my messages because everything gets store in there......

Only one or two of the Zen themes has separate icons for sms and emails. O2 zen is one of them. In order to have this for all themes you'll need to upgrade your OS to 4.2.1.66. There is a sticky thread at the top of the 8100 forum with info on this new OS and how to upgrade.

i found the os software but that version it says its for roger's carrier so just checking to see if you have a link to the cingular one....

This is for TIM Italy but the OS's can be installed on any pearl. Just follow the instructions in the first post.

hey my computer didnt let me install the software it says that a have a never version should i uninstall that and install the one i downloaded.... thanks for ur help

FINALLY INSTALLED THE SOFTWARE BUT IT DIDNT GIVE ME THE SMS ICON NEED SOME HELP!

Go to Messages >Options >General Options. Scroll to the bottom and there is an option for the sms icon.
