This is my first post so please take it easy on me. I'm jus tryin to figure out as much as possible about my new Pearl 8100 as I can, and I own it for 2 weeks now. So far it has been fun and there been some frustration as well.

FRUSTRATIONS:

1) One thing that I still havent figured out on my 8100 is MESSAGES, I can not seperate SENT messages from INBOX messages. By this I mean I jus wanna have seperate folder for SENT and seperate folder for INBOX, can anyone help? Because they all come by on the same screen, but I wanna know is it possible to have different screens?

2) Next thing I need to do is have seperate folders for MISSED/RECEIVED/DIALED phone calls, can anyone help me with just sorting these 3 by seperate folders? For Example: I just wanna go to MISSED CALLS and see who have I missed, simple as that. Cause the way the Pearl is set up is that all MISSED/RECEIVED/DIALED calls are on the same screen, and I hate that, cause I have no idea how to figure out a MISSED call from RECEIVED.

3) I figured out how to put MUSIC thru Desktop Manager, but will someone please help me put VIDEOS/MOVIES on my 8100? At the moment I don't have any VIDEOS stored on my comp, so is there is an application that I can download whith can format VIDEOS/MOVIES on my 8100 from my comp?

THANKS Y'ALL and sorry for my lenghtly post.

Wirelessly posted (8703e Sprint: BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/104)

Goto Messages box, click the scroll wheel to get a drop down menu, select options. Choose General Options, and change 'Hide Sent Messages' to Yes. You wil still be able to view your sent messages by selecting View Folder from the messages drop down menu.

There are no folders for call logs, but you can hide them from your message box. To do this go to your phone dialer, click the scroll wheel to get your drop down menu, and select options from the menu. Then choose Call Logging, and make your appropriate selection based on what you want to show up.

A good tip for call logging that I use a lot is:
First let me start by saying I have all of my call logs hidden. When I am on a call and I want to save the call log, I will click the scroll wheel while in the call and choose notes. This allows you to make notes about the call, and this will save a call log visibly in your message list regardless of whether you have them hidden. From there, you can do a number of things. You can email the call log to someone or yourself. You can get a program from Link2 called FollowUp and set a followup to this call log.

Hope this helps. Have fun with your Pearl. Unfortunately I cannot help you with the music/video thing cause I still have an 8703e (waiting for Sprint to release the 8800).

1) All you can do for this is once you are in the messages folder is go to view folders and you can view them individually.

2)For this the missed ones are the ones that have a yellow icon with an x, they are really easy to spot I never needed any seperation and i'm not sure if it can even be done.

3)For videos just download Blackberry Video Converter Seabyrd Technologies - Blackberry Video Converter
its a really nice free program.

If you want to avoid the hassle of using View Folder to view sent items, create a search shortcut (like ALT-O for outgoing....works on a Querty model, not sure if that works on the non-Querty model, but you can create it).
