Default Delete Folders

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys, I've got a minor problem. OK, first of all... When I FIRST turned on my blackberry, I set it up with the wrong kind of service (I used the one where I have to keep outlook open with the app) and it forwarded things oK, But then I got those blackberry messages (Those funky ones with tons of numbers and letters) so I read around, and I fixed it! And actually, Vodafone offers the service without having to do anything! So I'm happy now, but now I'd like to file all of my e-mails in folders ... and when I open it, it has all of my original mail folders, and I don't know how to delete it. I use the GMAIL account, so there aren't folders... How can I delete those folders? Because i'd like to file them on my own, not to mention, on my outlook I have TONS Of folders ,and on my blackberry I don't really want any...

Thanks for reading and for responding (if you do that haha)

I presume you mean that you initially used the Redirector and now you use BIS? In any case, using BIS you can't file messages in folders like you can with the Redirector (even though the Redirector only reconciles these locally).

You mention about getting rid of the folders you already have on the BB. Like you, I used the Redirector initially and had the same problem as you when moving the BIS - the folders stayed. I wiped the handheld to get rid of them as they were annoying me(!), although I'm sure there is an easier way...

Would anyone know how to delete it without having to delete EVERYTHING on the phone!? It would be a real shame to have to swipe it clean! Thanks.

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Simply hide those useless message icons: Highlight the icon, ALT - Click, HIDE. Continue to next icon. You can get it back via the same process to SHOW ALL, or UNHIDE.

Good luck.
