Angry Droped my BlackBerry, now its acting up! - 05-06-2007, 12:58 PM

So my BB was knocked out of my hand at a club. And at first I noticed that after every picture I took, it took very long to load. Then my calander was missing, and then It dose not even show my last calls, any numbers, or my calander also is gone. It deleted everything. So I did have it backed up with out my calander. What do you think the problem is? ANd what options do I have. I bought this used through CL for $200 a few weeks ago. It was working fine untill I droped it. ANy suggestions?

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

I bet the loss of call logs and your dropping BB is simply a coincidence. Losing calls logs due to low memory is common issue with the 8100. As your memory gets low on the device, it will remove call logs and sometimes some old messages to make room for new ones. Search board for username "bobross" and find his post from about two months ago for some GREAT tips on how to manage your memory on the 8100. The very first solution is reboot using the soft reset icon or pulling the battery to reboot, to regain some memory space.

Pertaining your calendar loss: Rebooting the BB may allow it to reappear. It could be simply hidden: ALT - CLick to "SHOW ALL" and see if the icon comes back. Also, look at Options > Advanced > Applications > BlackBerry Core Applications and see if you see it listed there. Look for "net_rim_bb_calendar_app". If it is listed, it is still on the BB.
Good luck.

Yep. JSanders is right. Sounds like you are low on memory. Go to Options >Status and check your memory. If it's less than 15Mb you can have this problem. Follow his instructions...
