1. go to settings>options>advanced options>service books and look for the following: Blackberry Internet Browsing, and IPP for 5 Click. If those are missing call Cingular's data support and have them check the RIM network to make sure your Internet browsing service is active there and either way have them resend your service books from the RIM provisioning site.

PS: being a cingular data support rep and an fellow BB Pearl owner...trust me.

Do you have a data plan? You have to purchase a separate Blackberry Data Plan in addition to your regular phone plan in order to use the browser, email, etc.

Did you buy the phone from ebay or at a local store?

You might want to go back to your local store and ask the rep to give you a quick walkkthrough on the basic functions of the phone. Once you have a comfort level with the basics, branching out from there is a snap.

I know with T-Mobile you can log into your account and have them sent. Try logging in on the Cingular site and searching for service books. T-Mobile has the option to send your service books when you go to "Setup Blackberry Internet E-mail."

As per our PM's you need to resend the service books assuming you have a data plan.

Follow the instructions here

How do I resend my service books? - BlackBerryFAQ

If # 1 does not work then move on to # 2... # 3 is the last step available... Call provider
