Angry Troubles sending email via bberry

Please Login to Remove!

Since a day or two I am receiving my emails back, sent via the bberry, with always the same error:

Subject:
Delivery Status Notification (Failure)

Text:

The following message to <xy@domain.com> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.2 - Bad destination host 'DNS Malformed Query Error looking up "domain com". (MX).'

While it's clear to me that's a problem related to Rim servers (although every now and then it works or to some recipients it may or may not work, depending on dont't know what...)

is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Note that ordinary emails sent via pc work regularly...

I contacted my carrier -Tim Italy- but they did not understand much...saying they would check and call back...in ONE week

Any help greatly appreciated,

I receive that error every now and then when I don't finish a email that I was writing and you should check and are if you have any messages that you have forgot to send.

I checked for saved messages on every associated account but found none.
I seldom save emails just not make confusion on the pearl.

Although I cannot see the reason why saving emails could affect sending them...

Ty anyway,

I was so lucky I found the solution by myself...and unexpectedly I daresay.
I am posting it here, hoping it might be of any help to anyone someday..

While trying to figure out what could have happened after reinstalling my winxp os (which I forgot to mention) and the Desktop Manager software I decided to take a closer look to the error message I was receiving.

It was nearly impossible to notice it on the Pearl small display but it was more clearly visible on the pc monitor.

The error log reported the addresses as [email address]. (notice, please, the second dot after the word ".com" and as I was sure I had never modified the contact email address since the day I bought the 8100; I had been using that address until 10 days ago and suddenly the field was corrupted.
Only two of my contacts were corrupted and the only thing I had been changing in the meantime was reinstalling my winxp and the Desktop Manager.
Of course I cannot swear I never modified these two contacts by any mistake but I feel reasonably sure I never did it voluntarily.

I do not even remeber having ever read "Save Changes?" on the pearl...
A bug perhaps?

Hope it helps,
