Default Change Pearl 8100 of Firmware/Software

Please Login to Remove!

Hi there,

im pretty new with this and would like to as a question. I have just bought myself a new BB Pearl 8100. It is locked to Vodafone and everytime I switch on and off the vodafone logo appears. I assume this means that the software/firmware is VODAFONE.

Is there a way I can change this so the Pearl has the same functions as a totally unlocked phone? (dont worry about the sim lock, i mean it in software/firmware terms).

Please help me on this one
Thanks

Welcome to BB Forums. You can not (ever) change the splash screen that comes up when you start the device. That is burned in...

All the firmware is basically the same. You can load any version you want, but it will not change the logo...
