How can i stop all my junk mail from Outlook being sent to my BB

When i send an e-mail in Outlook the sent mesages also gets sent to my BB, is there a way to stop this happening?

Are you using BIS or BES? I am guessing BIS. If this is the case login to the BIS site and set-up a filter to prevent messages from being replicated from your sent bucket.

easy to say, but how do you configure those filters?
I have spent 2 hours on the phone with them, been told they 2 filters.
1 based on the sender.(if you know who's bothering you)
1 based on the subject/title. (can apply a filter on the e-mail subject/title words.)


but in my case, I need a filter based on the body of the e-mail as there is no subject sometimes and the spam comes from thousands different emails...


so...is there a proper filter?

Have all of your email sent from outlook to a gmail account (use their spam filter) and then sent to your Pearl. Many here do it and it works great!

the idea is great knowing that Google mail has the best antispam function at this moment.
just that my e-mail has a signature, it is configured with outlook 2007. and I already see myself in a mess with outlook not receiving emails anymore as they all go to Gmail....


or is there a way to still receive them on my laptop via outlook and on my bberry via gmail?
I mean, can i receive them on Outlook 2007 amd Gmail account in the same time and also ahve them fwd-ed from my Gmail account to my Bberry???

I don't use outlook so not sure if it will work. I use a web based email program and here is what I do:

Email goes to web based email, it shows up in my web based in box and all email is copied to my gmail account. When it gets to gmail all mail is then copied to my balckberry email address.

On the surface you'd think there would be a delay with the email getting to my Pearl but there is not. Mail shows up at the exact same time, but spam free on my Pearl.

Please note: doing it this way has nothing to do with gmail mobile version. You don't need this app on your Pearl to make it work. All you need is a Gmail email account.

Yes, keep your MS Outlook polling to the POP account to get your email.

Your BB will receive email via the POP -> Gmail -> your BB.

(it's a screwy setup and I would never do it, but it works and others do it. I just enjoy hitting the DELETE key on my BB way too much!)

well,
here is what I’ve done and tested all day long:

1) have removed the business email account (from my company) and setup an new one on my bberry setup page (the g-mail one)
all this was done online - via O2 setup page as O2 is my provider here in UK.

2) went to my Gmail account and added the business email account as an alternative email (to receive emails from my business account onto my Gmail account) and also asked Gmail to leave a copy on the business server (in this way I will have them sent to my Outlook 2007 too)

3) After these, I have the business emails being sent to Gmail and from Gmail to my bberry and also my business email sent to my outlook 2007 account.


all perfect, no more spam...the only problem is that when I reply to any email it appears as being sent from my Gmail account and not from my business account and is nothing to do about that.

spending all day checking the settings, receiving and sending emails I have realized that I will really miss hitting the delete key as Jsanders said....lol..now i am back to my settings as they are better, faster and I can live with that little spam I receive everyday.
