I tried doing a search but nothing came up.

Does anyone's spacebar 'squeak' when it is pressed? or even the 'symbol or uppercase' button as well?

It's God awfully painful to hear... it's like srcratching your nails on a blackboard. Even worse.


Is there anyway to fix this? The keypad is one piece...

i too also experienced this after about two days of owning the pearl. Its a real pain in the a$$ to hear. It's only the space bar and happens about once a week for me now

I had it too. I just out my fingernail under the space bar and pushed up - kind of bent it upward. That was months ago and no squeak since.

Yeah, my space key does that sometimes and you're right, it's quite annoying. It's done it since it was new. The keys rub on the bottom plastic shell.

Mine doesn't squeak but makes a slight "crunching" noise when I press the alt key. Seems like that's the only key affected on my unit but it is annoying as heck. Sounds like something is broken under there.
