Default Flashlight on Pearl?

Please Login to Remove!

Like on my SE W810, I was wondering if there is anyway to activate just the flash to use as a flash light? Thanks

You could always make a white background and store it in your pictures folder. Every time you need a flashlight just go into the folder and access the picture. I went ahead and made one real quick because I needed it a few days ago.

This has been asked about before and is not possible at this time. I just use a white background for my home screen image, as the above poster mentioned, and use it as a flashlight all the time just from the main screen. Works great for not waking the wife when I get up early in the morning. Prevents those stubbed toes in the middle of the night!

Instead of the display I would like to use the flash for the camera... Does a 3rd party program allow you to do this...?

Default here you go

Here's a flashlight app for the pearl that uses the LED:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ends-free.html

Link to app is in post #2

You have to pay if you want the full app, but the flashlight is free and does not expire... and works great. Not as bright as the flash would be, but it does the job.

Use San Francisco's instructions(post #10) for using the side convenience key to activate the flashlight.

You'd be shocked at how well this works in a dark room, etc.. Better than a white background, IMO, as that light is more focused like a real flashlight would be. The light is projected MUCH further than light from a white background.

Hope this helps
