| Desktop Manager problems, DataVault help Please Login to Remove! I bought an app last night and since i installed it i've been having problems with DM....
what i got was Ascendo DataVault from Handango. I installed the desktop client and added the alx file to DM. then i started app loader to install the software on the pearl, but it sat there for a while on the update screen and never recovered. I had to kill DM in windows, and when i unplugged the phone i saw DataVault sucessfully installed.
But now every time i connect the phone and start DM, during a regular backup it hangs (progress stops/doesn't finish) and when i start app loader it looks like alot of the apps i have on the bb are unchecked, when i check them and hit next, its showing me a list of all the items i checked as being removed if i proceed.
anyone been in a similar situation ?
i'm running DM v4.2.1.8 and BB OS 4.2.0.64....
also, DataVault doesn't show up in the Advanced Options/Applications menu on the BB, but it is there and works fine. it also synchs fine when i set it up in DM to synchronize.
also disturbing is that after i close out of DM and unplug the phone, i still see the desktop manager icon loaded in the taskbar.
follow-up:
i reinstalled DM and i got it to work fine, but i still wound up losing one of my apps. i don't know why the app loader did not allow me to keep it on the phone.
