Default bb pearl questions... urgent...

Please Login to Remove!

hey everyone,
i just purchased a blackberry pearl a few days ago, with the new AT&T software on it.
I dont really like the ATNT theme, and i want to use the cingular software/theme on there instead, is there any way to do that? or am i stuck with the AT&T theme/software?

Also, my previous phone was a v3i razr. I was able to set different tones for the ringer, text messages, alarm, etc. can i do that with my blackberry as well? I know i can download and set songs as my ringtone, but i dont know how to change my text message tone and my alarm.

another thing, ive been texting a lot on my blackberry, and my friends say they got the texts, but they sent replys which i didnt get. they are pretty important texts, and i cant really afford to miss them, this happened with my red one and my black one which i currently have, can i fix this?

thank you all very much for addressing/ looking at my questions

Not sure about the text message issue, that sounds like it might be a system (i.e. Cingular) issue. Probably some others than can answer that part.

The assignment of different tones for IMs, Texts, etc. can be done by going to Profiles-->Advanced-->[profile you want to change]

When the options come up you'll see all of the different settings you can alter. There is a "In Holster" and "Out of Holster" option in this menu. This is for use with a slipcase that will put the BB in sleep mode when you put it in the case. If you don't use a case, or don't use one with the sleep mode function (i.e. the magnet to put it in sleep mode) the "In Holster" option won't apply.

Indianpryd--I think this is the info you will need to read for your Theme question:
http://www.blackberryforums.com/ring...-4-2-only.html

Click Profiles to change ringtones for calls, messages, SMS, mail, etc... all customizable.

I don't know why you aren't getting some of your SMS messages.

Wow; 10th time today typing this....

Download the OS
Execute the downloaded file
Locate and delete VENDOR.XML on the PC C: drive
Restart Desktop Manager to load the OS using Desktop Manager's Application loader.

Look at Options > SMS. Do you have a Service Center number entered?
