Default Battery problems

Hi, I have had the blackberry pearl 8100 for 2 months now and no problems but the last few days it is losing all its battery power within about 8 hours (after being fully charged)
Up til now I have only charged the battery when I have needed to but in the last few days I have had to charge it twice a day. Can anybody help?

You may have something draining the battery, such as some program "staying on." See the FAQ where they mention bluetooth. It's easy to turn on bluetooh by accident.

Also, never wait until a lithium battery gets down to where it needs charging [e.g., 10% or zero left] to charge it. Lith batteries are not like the old NiCad batteries that needed cycling, full discharge, cleaning and refreshing. In fact, you can harm your lithium battery by waiting until it is almost depleted to charge it.

I mention the above in response to your statement that you charged the battery when you needed to.
