Default length of alarm notification - 05-16-2007, 01:28 PM

is there a way to set how long the alarm lasts for ( so that it will shut automatically even without manually shutting the alarm )

Thanx

Japanese came out with a new alarm clock and when it goes off it will walk down from the table and somewhere in the hallway and you will have to get out the bed in order to off it. so stick to bb and have nice sleep _

You mean this clock?

LINK ThinkGeek :: Clocky Robotic Alarm

But what I think he wants to do is simply have the alarm stop after sounding off for a few minutes?

Just this morning I got up before the alarm and I was too lazy to go turn it off [Pearl was sitting under a pillow]. I could hear the thing faintly sounding off for about 1.5 hours.

I don't know if "number of beeps" turns the alarm off after a time. I think that only tells the Pearl how many times to ring the alarm per cycle. Otherwise it just keeps sounding off until one cancels it.

Hey, wasn't there some alarm clock program mentioned on BBF and it allowed for all kinds of settings? Thought I saw that somewhere.

I don't, but--
You could always set your alarm as a Calendar Appointment and its corresponding notification, and that notification does not continuously repeat.

I noticed that people complain about the alarm. I set it up with a song I had on my pearl and put it on loud and I swear to you it was like having big speakers in my room when it woke me up.

One can use custom ringtones not only for the phone, but also reminders and the alarm clock.

I can have my alarm be as pleasant as someone at the door softly saying "time to get up, breakfast is on the table" to the other extreme, someone hitting a metal bed railing with a pipe.

My current alarm is the Jetsons:

Here are some that will cause you to throw your Pearl against the wall [you have been warned] SOME NSFW!!:
