NOOOOO! that will brick your phone, just wait for it to finish, then do the new one, it will take about 40 minutes and upgrade, but once its done then try it again

make sure to delete the vendor.xml file as well like it says in the HOWTO, and you should be fine after that I hope

I don't know about you, but Opera Mini no longer works for me! (Is yours still working?) I guess I should of tried to add the $5.99 Tzone package when you told me to do. Now that everyone and their mother has tried it with little or no success, I guess I'm $CreWeD!!

ok I just went ahead and got this done. The rep said that the enabler and the 5.99 wont work together. She said that if I get the 5.99 service that i should be able to send/receive messages with that service. I just though I'd give a heads. SO yay now when its all configured do i need to change things to get jivetalk working?

Will this enable you to still send MMS messages as well?

ah I forgot to add the MMS part in my post. She said that I will still be able to send and receive pic messages. Ok I guess it updated and it said data connection refused then it upated again and it had lower case edge and it updated again and it has nothing but signal bar but I have T-Mobile on screen nothing about data connection refused. I'm not able to sign on in jivetalk though.

I load up jive talk it comes up fine I try to login and it gives me an error then thats when my edge dissapears and just shows reception bar itself and data connection dissapears and shows T-Mobile. So how did people get there jive talk working.

The reason t-mobile doesn't allow you to have the unlimited tzones for 5.99 is because the bb feature enabler already gives you unlimited tzones

bb feature enabler does not allow you to use unlimeted tzones as it ask you to sign up for it when you do try to browse

yea not sure if the service has kicked in fully. I tried sending a mms and it waits but my edge gets knocked off and it only shows reception signal so i have to turn wireless off then back on to get edge to show up again. But the mms wont send.

Jive Talk no longer works for me! However, the IM application that comes with the BB still works. How were you able to get Jive Talk working again?

I am chatting away on it right now weird. maybe mess with the TCP settings on your phone. I have my number as username and password to my account on password but wouldn't even know why it wont work for you. Do a battery pull. EDGE should be in all Caps. The rep had to do some stuff along with me doing a battery pull. I'm able to load T-zones icons and it loads with the page in all and wow I guess they updated and it looks nice. I'm not able to use Yahoo messenger though so going to add it on jive

The TCP settings have always been wap.voicestream.com with the user name and password blank and it worked before. The username you speak of, is from your T-Mobile account right? The battery pull did nothing and EDGE is all in caps.

yea tmobile account. Put your tmobile account there and see what happens. DO you have the Tzones icon if so open that and see if that works. You might have it hidden check that too. If Tzones works then it should work, if not call customer service.

Did you change the APN? If so, to what? I change the User name and password but still no luck.I have the T-Zones icon, and it opens and when you search it works. However, when I select the item i searched for, it gives me an error.

I couldn't use jive talk when they had me on the 5.99 but when they switched me to the bb enabler it let me go into jivetalk how weird is this. When they put me on the 5.99 plan my phone was acting up big time I had to keep turning wireless off and on to make calls cause i didnt have no edge name it was just reception bars only. so they switched the feature and did a battery pull it works like a charm now

Correct.. Although I guess you could, you just need the $19.99 BB Unlimited Plan as well.....But then that defeats the purpose of the FREE BB Enabler feature.
