I'm seriously considering this...I miss my full keyboard but not the big brick...and the Curve seems to be the best solution yet, that is a compromise. I also couldn't care less about WiFi...of course I have to see one and play with it first.

I don't see the difference between this and the 8800... someone please clarify for me. It seems just the style difference and the 2 MP camera instead of the 1.3 MP, I thought that it'd maybe have wifi but I guess it doesn't, it says that you can tether it to your laptop and whatever, but we're able to do that if we know how to...
Very happy with my BlackBerry Pearl 8100 !

I totally want the Curve.. I do think the sleek, shiny black of the Pearl and 8800 is nicer.. but the 8800 is too chunky and...long, while the Curve is more... curved (go figure), but I dont like the silver.

I like the Pearl for all it does in such a compact phone. I am one who really likes a small phone with as many functions as one can cram into a small form factor.
I don't send out enough e-mails to want a full keyboard, so the Curve does not appeal to me on that basis.
Moreover, as the other Member said, a 2MP camera is not enough to cause me to switch.
Now if the Curve had 3G, with its larger display, that would cause me to reconsider, but it does not. In fact, I don't use my Pearl to surf the Net. The display is just too small to look at web pages, especially pages that are not compatible with viewing on cell phones.
So the Pearl is tops in my book. I'll be keeping it as its beauty has not faded in my eyes.

Is the Curve even going to be available for T-Mobile's network? Phonescoop only lists availablity of the 8300 for Cingular.

i love my pearl... it's my first blackberry, and it's amazing. it's the perfect size; i like the qwerty keyboard; camera's good enough; wifi doesn't matter to me since i have wifi on my work phone; i have little trouble with the webpages i view. i just love it. i can't actually think of a good reason to get a different one.
...now if only my vaja case would hurry up and get here ;)

I don't think T-Mo will have it for a while, Cingy does get it first.
All the more reason I won't be getting it, because I like T-Mo as a carrier.

I think the price is way to high! The screen looks amazing from videos on YouTube, but the touch screen kinda kills it, because your finger prints will be all over the place.

Yeah those are some good points. I think I am just one of those people who have to have a new cellphone or whatever every year. I don't send emails either really, but I want to play with the full Qwerty keyboard, and I like the fact that the 2 MP camera is better. Plus, from what I have read, the T-Mobile 8320 will have WiFi, and I like that too.

How are you guys paying for the new phone?
I got a new Pearl through work recently. I don't think they'll take kindly to me asking for a new phone after getting a new pearl so soon...

I actually will go to Blackberry 8300 Curve. If you see the side by side comparison of the 8100 and 8300, it's only slightly bigger than the 8100.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Pearl but...
I write so many emails every day that a full QWERTY keyboard would be lovely. SureType has been so annoying lately that I am seriously considering the Curve if/when it comes to T-Mo...and ONLY if it comes to T-Mo since I have been very happy with their service. I haven't seen pictures of the Pearl next to the Curve but I think it's only a bit bigger? And, I have no interest whatsoever in the 8800.
One more thing -- I don't care for WiFi but I think I read somewhere that it will have A2DP so you can listen to music via Bluetooth headset???

I have had the 7280, 7290, 8700 and the Pearl. I also had a T-Mo Dash before the Pearl. I loved web surfing on the Dash but the Pearl is smaller and more funtional than the the Dash was. Therefore, I really can't seem to justify getting another BB right now.
Wifi is overrated (plus kills the battery), the camera isn't that important to me and I love typing on the Pearl. I went to the Dash because I was waiting for the BB to be able to play video which my Pearl does a great job of.
Plus the size of the Pearl is really perfect to me. It isn't like talking into a garage door opener like my 8700 was!
