Default Need Help!!!!! - 05-22-2007, 01:24 PM

new member here, just got my 8100 yesterday

the problem is, i have a mac, and im running mac OSX, and ive found that there arent many application loaders for macs.

i tried using the CD that the pearl came with, and tried to install that, but it didnt work

my question is....

i dowloaded a program that i found on this site to change the color of the pearl, but i dont know how to use it (again i have a mac lol). it just sits on my desktop as "colorpearl.jad". how do i load this onto my pearl? and how do i install it?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

You should be downloading as many applications OTA (over the air) as you can.
For example, the .jad file you specified... you should be going to the site where downloaded that using the web browser on your Blackberry device... not the web browser on your computer.

Many apps can be installed without the need for any desktop software at all.

Yes, you need a Blackberry Data Plan to use any of the browser, email or data features on the Blackberry device.
Without it, all you have is a phone and text messaging.

You don't use .jad files when installing via desktop. .jad files get installed OTA.

You need to download the ALX and COD files for your application, if there are any.
Those get installed via desktop software.
