Did anybody ran into something like this? Trying to take a picture (click on the camera icon), I get a gray screen (with some small camera related info at the botom) and the phone locks hard (need to take the battery off to reset it).

Upgraded the software to the latest version, problem still there ...

Sounds like a hardware problem. I'd think about having it replaced under warranty.
