Question Newest OS - Software v4.2 SP2 or 4.2.1.148 / 4.2.1.94

Please Login to Remove!

Hey,

1st post. Anyways, just got my 8100 today and was wondering what's the newest OS for the phone. When I goto RIM's site it's v4.2 SP2 which is around 230mb for the english version, or the version I see stickied here on the top 4.2.1.148 / 4.2.1.94, which is around 160mb. Thanks for the info, just wondering which OS I should install. My 8100's with rogers.

Cheers,
Brian

the 4.2 sp2 you speak of is desktop software (desktop manager), not handheld software

Welcome to the Forums. That referenced above is the Desktop Manager software, and will NOT install your BB handheld. Use the link above for the later versions of the handheld OS.

Just downloading the desktop software now. I'm interested to find out how it has grown from 45MB to 231MB
