Question Tunes for my Pearl

Please Login to Remove!
I really want to download some songs to my Pearl, but I have no idea how to do it. I have a 1G memory card just itching to get some music on it! Is there anyone who can help me?

Hey BBPearlGurl,

The easiest way to add music to your Pearl is to just transfer music from your home computer via the included usb or bluetooth. If you use the desktop application included with your phone, you'll notice that there is an option to drop your files into folders, e.g. Photos, Videos, Music

Thanks for replying Dennis. Does the fact that I have a Mac laptop make a difference? Is there special software or something? I totally new to all this, so any info would help a ton!

As long as the file is an accepted type you should be okay whether your on a dell or a mac

I am not sure BUT I beleive this works on Mac. When you plug the USB in to your pearl and Mac you enable "Mass Storage" and your Mac will see the sd card as a removable drive. Then just copy your tunes to the music folder - simple and quick!

So long as the tunes are not protected (DRM) you should be able to find them on your desktop and copy them to your pearl.

Sorry - that was not what I intended to say...I was thinking in terms of iTunes as a program/player (like Windows Media Player).

yes this does work with iTunes. As long as you aren't trying to load purchased music. AAC is a compatible file type for Pearl media. so all of you who think you can't, guess again. all the music on my Pearl is straight out of iTunes. and if you do want to load your purchased music, you need to burn it first, and then rip it to mp3 files.
