I was getting the new AT&T start up screen and now all of a sudden I am getting a burnt orange Cingular "raising the bar" start up screen. Anyone else seeing this?

The orange "raising the bar" is the one I have had since I got the Pearl several months ago.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 9000: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

I don't think the splash screen is going to change. I've seen this discussed many times and the general consensus seems to be that the network ID will change to AT&T over the next few months but the splash screen is burned into the ROM of the phone. At least that's what I remember the people who are more knowledgeable than I saying.

Yeah but what he was saying is that he HAD a different splash screen. Wow I've never heard that happen to anyone... did you do anything to trigger the splash screen to change? How long did you have the AT&T screen for?

I still have the old Cingular MediaNet homepage. I hope the new one pops up soon if it's better.

Yeah, it's not changed. I upgraded the OS to the new one available for the main slate Pearl and it's still Cingular for the start up screen. Although the alpha tag is now AT&T.

I have only had the Pearl for a few weeks. When I first got it I had the blue and white AT&T when I first powered on the phone, say from a soft reset or something. I never saw the orande Cingular screen till a couple days ago. The only app I have added is Berry411 and I have not updated the OS.

When I power it on I still get the Cingular raising the bar but once I get past that it says AT&T on the home screen and not Cingular anymore

I just realized that when I was getting the at&t was when I had a 8100 that had the at&t logo on the bottom of the Pearl. I had to send it back for a replacement and got one with the cingy logo on the bottom. Maybe that's what happened.
