Default More tethering questions. . .

Please Login to Remove!

As some of you may know from my previous posts, the whole premise of my having the BlackBerry plan (Berry Mail & Minutes) is my ability to tether my handset to my laptop for Internet access on those overnights (I'm a flight attendant) at hotels where we're charged for WiFi access.

Two questions:

1. I'm no longer able to tether with the new OS (*.94) Are there any known issues between this particular OS and a T-Mobile subscriber's ability to tether?

2. Assuming everything is working correctly on my device, am I able to take the SIM card (which has the BB data plan assiciated with it) out of my BB, stick it into. . . say an Ericsson GC89, and be able to utilize it for EDGE access?

Once again, I feel compelled to preemptively apologize in advance if my search through the forums yielded a duplicated answer to the above questions.

Thanks!

I'll let y'all know the outcome.

Also, anyone have any ideas on question #2 from the above?

If you have T-Mo, call customer support. They are very, very helpful on these types of questions.

In fact, T-Mo reps are familiar with using the Pearl as a modem. In other words, they support such use and gladly help.
