Know that I dont have a memory card yet and I plan on getting one soon, and getting one actually might solve these problems but. I have a couple questions
1. Is it normal that well first, on the top of the screen under the date, signal, and time it says "Data connection refused"
2. Is it normal that my sent SMS messages disappear from the message window when someone replies
3. Why can't I find anything in the SMS inbox after i saved messages or file them
4. Is it normal I can only have 30 messages in my temporary inbox before my SIM card is full?

1. The message "Data Connec tion Refused" means that you do not have a BB feature on your account. If you want to get rid of the message you can turn off data services under Network or you can subscribe to a BB feature, BB Voice Addon is $0, BB Internet Email is 19.99, and Blackberry Enterprise Service is 29.99.
2. No, that's not normal. I would check your SMS settings to see if anything is set to clear after a certain amount or set to hide sent messages.
3. You have to look for saved sms in the saved folder.
4. SMS messages don't get saved to the sim card on a BB. I'd put the sim card into a phone that can read the messages on a sim card and delete them.

It will delete the message automatically once it gets full. If you do not have a data plan it is normal that it says data connection refused. Even if you do have a memory card you cannot save the messages onto the memory card.

strange, it says "the SIM card is full! you must delete some of your messages" or something like that after it reaches 30, and theres an option that says "leave messages on sim card" under option>SMS message. when i set this to no, i cant even receive texts, it shows a brief notification (that red thing appears by the message envelope icon), but it disappears, and theres no message in the window.

My bad. I see that now. I forgot all about that option. I've bad my 8100 since Oct. and I set it not to save on the sim card. If you go into Messages, press menu, and select view folders. One of them is a SMS SIM Inbox, if you check in there do you have any messages??

nope, ::EDIT:: ok, when I receive SMS messages without leaving them on SIM card, it notifies me that I received one, but it doesn't appear in the inbox. and once again, they never appear in the SMS inbox.

Hello? Still need help here on SMS, my sent messages keep disappearing, theyre there for either a couple minutes, or they disappear when I receive a text. Deciding whether I should go and exchange it before my 14 days are up.
