Unhappy Text Messages....

Please Login to Remove!

I searched the forum over and have not found any information regarding this. If its there I apologize. I spent an hour and that was way more than I had time for. Learned a few things though so it wasnt a complete loss of productivity hours. HA!

Anywho....I have noticed recently when I receive a text message with more than a couple of words in it it says missing text and sometimes I will get two or three more messages with the same message but a bit more or just the same message with the some text missing message. Is this something that is fixable? I have looked and looked and can't figure out a fix. Thanks

Looks like the SMS you're receiving have more than the standard 160 characters. When you receive a message of say 180 characters, it is sent as two messages, and so takes a little time to come through to your phone. When the second part of the message arrives, it will show as a new message (though the LED doesn't flash) - basically it's just an update of the original message.

Hope this makes sense!

actually, I had this happen over the weekend with a 20 word text from my husband. after a few moments, the rest of the message loaded, and after that, no prob. sometimes it just gets to your phone before it has a chance to completely load, that's all. doesn't always matter if it's over the limit or not.
