Default BB automatically replacing words when typing

Please Login to Remove!

I'm having this weird problem with my blackberry. Ever time I type the word "a" it automatically replaces it with "on on". I must have inadvertantly given it a default message.

Can anyone tell me how to fix it?

Thanks in advance!

You have most likely somehow stored it in your Auto Correct list.

Menu> Options> AutoText

look for

a (on on) and delete it.

no no, look at Options > Languages.

See what your INPUT Language is set to... (probably Catala or Afrikaans when it types out "on on"),

Change it back to English US and SAVE.

Sometimes you accidentally click ALT + ENTER it will change to Catala, whatever that language that is.

Just seen it on here before.

You know what they say--"Catala Happens!" and it happens on the board here about every other day.

You don't even need to got to 'Options' > 'Languages' . . . just hold 'ALT' + 'ENTER' and scroll to highlight the prefered language. The highlighted language gets saved as your default INPUT METHOD language.

Correct, that is how it gets mistakenly changed by many users, who don't even know it.
