How do i get a ping/bleep when i text arrrives or e-mail.
I've only just got my BB up abd running and now just want to make some adjustments to it.

I would start here

They have put a lot of work into these FAQ's and they are awesome for shortening the learning curve! You will find TONS of great information on your device.

To answer your specific questions

Highlight your profile icon (Looks like a speaker)
Scoll to Advanced>select
Normal should be highlighted
Menu>edit

From there you can configure text and your various email accounts for notification.

Thank you Thatzmister2u, i was just about to reply to say i've find the info in FAQ, but i'll still play around with the FAQ.
However, could you tell me what the difference are between -
Level 1
Messenger - Alert
Messenger - New Message
MMS
SMS (This is a text message)

What is a Level 1?
