I recently experienced problems when I try to sych; I get an error message "Microsoft Visual C ++ Runtime Library - Program, Desktop manager.exe and the message is "abnormal program termination". Any thoughts?

I am having the same problem with my 8800. I have tried everything suggested on RIM wesite ...No Help....

Just got the problem fixed, download a new version of the blackberry deskopt application loader and it will update your device after that its all fixed :D

I have the same problem. using 8800 (non bes)/ win XP / Outlook 2003. It was working fine until one day last week. nothing changed on my computer and I received the runtime error. I worked with RIM for about 4 hours and they claim it is my computer. I call foul, as I can load apps, run Roxio and load music, etc. but when I go to config sync, i get the runtime error. I was running an older version of desktop when I first got the error and I am now using 4.2 SP2. it doesn't do me much good to not have the ability to sync my calendar. please help, signed:
