Unhappy HELP!!! Blank Screen

Please Login to Remove!

My Pearl has totally lost all diplay on the screen. For a couple of days it would go off and come back, but now it's gone for good. I have removed the battery several times and it is fully charged.
Also, I can receive and make calls, although it's a bit of a hassle.
Any ideas?

This could be a dead LCD, dead backlight, or both.

Press any button on your phone to wake it up and then look closely at the screen, perhaps while shining a light into it at different angles. Are you able to see anything at all? If you are, it's a dead backlight.

I hope you're under warranty as repairs can be costly, but at least once you identify the problem, you can go from there.

The screen lights when a key is pressed, but has only a blank white screen.
I can't see anything in the background either.

Blank white screen means the LCD is off, but the backlight is shining through. It's pretty rare for the LCD itself to die, it could mean bad/damaged contacts or circuitry.

If you aren't under warranty, you could try following the disassembly instructions and make sure the ribbon cable above the LCD is properly connected.

Default Blank screen

i had the same problem just last week. Apparently the first pearls that rolled out the prod line had that faulty bug that caused LCD to blank out. Call your service provider and the'll tell you if they can fix it or replace it forthright!

Thanks for your help.
Unfortunately, I had to change service providers because I am not in T-Mobile territory and the new guys won't cover it. T-Mobile won't cover because I'm no longer a customer. Catch-22. Time to pitch it into the river?
