Default T-Mobile My Faves problem

Please Login to Remove!

I tried editing one of the numbers on my faves through the 8100. I couldn't add auto pauses to it so I tried to delete it. IT deleted the name of contact but not the icon. When I the icon, it does nothing. So I thought, okay, I'll edit it through the web at home.

Went to my faves in my Tmobile and made the corrections. Now my web account is correct, five names, five numbers. I got the update message on my phone but it did not actually update the icon or the number. So I tried a battery pull. When it turned back on, now the unwanted icon is gone but in it's place a light blue circle. If I hit the Pearl, it does nothing. If I hit the Send key, it takes me to the call log.

Anybody ever experience this or have any suggestions?

This happened to me before, blue blank circles and all. T-Mo rep wasn't familiar with the problem and had me trry a complete restore which took forever but it didn't take care of the problem SO DON'T DO THAT (LOL!)!

Here's the simple solution:

You did the right thing by updating your MyFaves via the web (doing it via handset messes it up) but now you just have to make sure that your Pearl's MyFaves are exactly in the same order as the website. Number 1 is the first icon that shows up when you access your MyFaves. Number 2 is clockwise to the left and so on. You are going to have to update the contact info, photos and ringtones as well. When you are done updating each icon, click on it and hit MyFaves Settings and REFRESH MyFaves. After you do that for all five icons and receive an update message, do a battery pull. It may take a couple of hours to completely reset.

Hope this helps.

I had the same problem and after visiting the t-Mobile store, and calling Customer Service, they recommended backing up the phone and wiping everything out.

I came to the forum and found PCGilr's solution. I used the "Replace Order" option in each MyFave to move them around to match the site, and that fixed the problem.

THANKS

I never had the problem with the My Faves on my Pearl. It's kinda weird to hear that. But good luck with the fix. I got rid of the My Faves. Work pays the bill now.
